Observations | The body structure: The body of a fruit fly appears elongated, and it is divided into three segments – head, thorax, and abdomen. Fruit flies have two large compound eyes, which appear as dark red spots under a microscope. These eyes are made up of many small lenses, giving the fly a wide field of view. |
