Putative identification | Arthropoda Myriapoda |
Methods |
|
Extraction kit | DNeasy (Qiagen) blood and tissue kit |
DNA extraction location | Whole arthropod |
Single or Duplex PCR | |
Gel electrophoresis system | MiniPCR |
Buffer | TBE |
DNA stain | GelGreen |

Protocol notes | There was air bubbles during the extraction process |
Results |
|
Wolbachia presence | Unknown |
Confidence level | Medium |
Explanation of confidence level | My confidence level is medium due to the arthropod negative control testing positive for arthropod. Another reason for my lower confidence is that my Arthropod tested negative for arthropod DNA. I believe there was a cross contamination during the PCR process and DNA that got into the negative control became amplified. |
