Putative identification | Arthropoda |
Methods |

Extraction kit | Instagene Matrix |
DNA extraction location | Abdomen |
Single or Duplex PCR | Single Reaction |

Protocol notes | This sample showed the DNA in the second PCR run. More precisely, in our first PCR no results were observable. Given that there was a result in the second time, there must have occured an error in the PCR process (e.g incorrect amount of a solution, wrong order of steps or wrong execution of single steps). |
Results |
|
Wolbachia presence | Yes |
Confidence level | High |
Explanation of confidence level | First and foremost, this PCR process carried out and controlled by my biology teacher. In our first PCR attempt, there clearly was DNA but it did not approach the positive pole on the gel but stayed at the top. However, in the second PCR process, supervised by our biology teacher, it worked out and the lines clearly visibly near the positive pole. |

Summary | The Arthropoda was found to be postive for Wolbachia. |
