Results

Wolbachia presence No
Confidence level Low
Explanation of confidence level

In lane 4 of the gel electrophoresis, my sample did not show a DNA band and did not show a band for Wolbachia. This is why my confidence for my results are low. My controls are contradictory so I do not have confidence in my results. The W- Wolbachia did not show a DNA band and the DNA+ sample did not show any DNA band either.

Wolbachia 16S sequence
Arthropod COI sequence
Summary The Melanoplus femurrubrum was found to be negative for Wolbachia.
