Observations | Found with the fierce ant. I thought the 2 ants were different cause of the size, found with the fierce ant, a park with grass but found in the part with only soil and dead leafs, behind it is a wall of leafs/bushes. I think this ant is an ant for collecting while the fierce ant is for protecting. This ant is 0.7cm long and has 2 sections on the last part of the body. Found in this park near the Mohegan park. |

Protocol notes | this ant was the 5th hole bottom to top, there was nothing. I used the whole ants body and didn’t have that much problems, the steps was going smoothly, although maybe encountering some tiny problems, the whole process was smooth. |

Wolbachia presence | No |
Confidence level | Medium |
Explanation of confidence level | This ant I had no problem on and it shows no lines which means it is negative in Wolbachia which I am confident in because the fierce ant which I found in the same place and turns out they are the same species, they both turned out to be negative in Wolbachia so I am confident in that this ant is negative on Wolbachia. But this experience was not really that scientific, maybe some like small mistakes so I have medium confidence but the results I think I have high confidence. |
