Observations | This earwig is 2cm long, I found it under a tree, in the soil. I found this in a park with a lot of grass and soil, a park near the Mohegan park. The earwig has 2 white things on his front, the white thing was near the 2nd leg, in between of the 2nd leg, on the shells. Green legs and looks exactly like a European earwig. The tail is in a circular shape. Found in this park near the Mohegan park. |

Results |
|
Wolbachia presence | Yes |
Confidence level | Medium |
Explanation of confidence level | I looked at my gel, the Shape Standard was good, shows 4 lines and the earwig which is the DNA in the 3rd hole, left to right, the DNA of the earwig was in between the 2nd and 3rd line of the Shape Standard which means it is positive in Wolbachia but cause the line was not clear so I had medium confidence. |
Wolbachia 16S sequence | |
Arthropod COI sequence |

Summary | The Forficula auricularia was found to be postive for Wolbachia. |
