Results

Wolbachia presence Yes
Confidence level High
Explanation of confidence level

We achieved Wolbachia positive PCR results using three primer pairs: a LepF primer pair, a Wsp (Wolbachia surface protein) primer pair, and a W-spec (Wolbachia specific) 16S primer pair. The 16S sequence we received from the W-spec primer pair PCR amplification matched the sequence from a 16S Wolbachia PCR amplification in Ethiopia.
