Protocol notes | We scooped out the abdomen of our spider, following the protocol to the best of our ability. The PCR products we had were not all the way full. The well for the negative control was contaminated with wolbachia, we’re not sure how. Either we switched the labels or accidentally used a pipette tip twice. |
Results |
|
Wolbachia presence | No |
Confidence level | Medium |
Explanation of confidence level | We think we switched our negative control and our positive DNA and some of our PCR products were very minimal. |
Wolbachia 16S sequence | |
Arthropod COI sequence |
|
Summary | The Arthropoda was found to be negative for Wolbachia. |
