9- Water

Analysis: My controls worked but my sample did not have a band, meaning it does not have Wolbachia or there was an error in my DNA extraction

Results

Wolbachia presence No
Confidence level High
Explanation of confidence level

All of my control groups worked as expected. I followed protocol and had no problem with the gel. I am not surprised by any on the bands on the gel. Therefore I am confident this ladybug is not infected with Wolbachia.

Wolbachia 16S sequence
Arthropod COI sequence
Summary The Coccinellidae was found to be negative for Wolbachia.
