Observations | I found this ant against a rock on a grassy lawn. I collected this ant at dusk, and the temperature was about 52 degrees Fahrenheit. There were many ants, but I only collected about 10. |

Explanation of confidence level | All of our controls worked as expected. We did not have any problems with my protocol, and the bands on the gel were extremely clear. Therefore, we are very confident that our arthropod is Wolbachia negative. |
