Results

Wolbachia presence No
Confidence level High
Explanation of confidence level

We are fairly certain that the insect we had caught, has zero traces of Wolbachia present within it. We know this because we performed a gel electrophoresis test and our results came back with only one band present in the insect gene, and nothing for the Wolbachia gene.

Wolbachia 16S sequence
Arthropod COI sequence
Summary The Hemiptera was found to be negative for Wolbachia.
