Observations

We found this ant in a small ant hill on the grassy area of Wheeler High School. We collected the ant in the early afternoon, and the temperature was about 60 degrees Fahrenheit. There were many ants, but we only collected about 7.

Explanation of confidence level

All of our controls worked as expected. We did not have any problems with my protocol, and the bands on the gel were extremely clear. Therefore, we are very confident that our arthropod is Wolbachia negative.
