Protocol notes | Pellet was visible. It was a brownish color. DNA ladder for arthropod gel is faint, no bands in water for arthropod, in positive arthropod there is a band, in negative arthropod there isn’t a band. In arthropod 02, 04, 11, 12, and 13 there are bands. In arthropod 01, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, and 09 there isn’t a band. In wolbachia 02, 04, 05, 11, and 13 there are bands. In wolbachia 01, 03, 06, 07, 08, 09, and 12 there aren’t bands. |
Results |
|
Wolbachia presence | No |
Confidence level | Low |
Explanation of confidence level | DNA ladder in arthropod gel didn’t work. Positive and negative controls did not work. Wolbachia gel control did not work. Maybe problems with DNA extraction. |
Wolbachia 16S sequence | |
Arthropod COI sequence |
|
Summary | The Dermaptera was found to be negative for Wolbachia. |
