The specimen was incubated in a water bath at 56 degrees C for 60 minutes.

Our first gel image was taken on 3/24/2026 and was run at 125 volts for 20 minutes. We used the New England Biolabs 1 kb Plus DNA Ladder for Safe Stains (product # no559s)

Our second gel image was taken on 4/7/2016 and was run at 125 volts for 37 minutes. We used the New England Biolabs 1 kb Plus DNA Ladder for Safe Stains (product # no559s)

Results

Wolbachia presence Yes
Confidence level Medium
Explanation of confidence level

I am reasonably confident that my sample is positive. The positive and negative controls line up and are clearly visible which makes me confident that my results are accurate. A single PCR reaction should be run for higher confidence. I am confident for both rounds of PCR.

Wolbachia 16S sequence
Arthropod COI sequence
Summary The Harmonia axyridis was found to be postive for Wolbachia.
