Protocol notes

DNA extraction: I made sure to crush the arthropod well, I dissected out the abdomen and excluded the exoskeleton.

Minor issues: During the DNA extraction I had to spin down my sample multiple times due to the consistency of the extracted DNA, the washes were not working and we were eventually able to spin it down and wash it after multiple attempts.

Results

Wolbachia presence No
Confidence level High
Explanation of confidence level

I amplified the correct organism and it was not infected, there were minor issues during the PCR process, although the DNA and data was extracted and amplified.
