Results

Wolbachia presence No
Confidence level Medium
Explanation of confidence level

All the negative and positive controls worked except for the 4th one on the left.

For the first and second ones were used 400 microlitre of TE-buffer instead of only 50 microlitre for the DNA-Elution. It had no influence on the results, because they were still clearly visible.

Wolbachia 16S sequence
Arthropod COI sequence
Summary The Lasius niger was found to be negative for Wolbachia.
