Results

Wolbachia presence No
Confidence level Medium
Explanation of confidence level

Expected bands for both gels appeared on the gel. Both arthropod and DNA control had worked out, shown by the bands that are on the gels. As controls had work, nothing that is seemingly out of the ordinary had occurred, so certain that this arthropod test negative for Wolbachia. However, not high confidence as we believe that we made minor human error throughout entire process, unknown whether or not these had an impact on running gel.

Summary The Formicidae was found to be negative for Wolbachia.
