|Captive / Cultivated?||Wild-caught|
Dark gray pillbug.
|Putative identification||Crustacea Malacostraca Isopoda Armadillidae Armadillidium Armadillidium vulgare|
|Extraction kit||DNeasy (Qiagen)|
|DNA extraction location||Whole arthropod|
|Single or Duplex PCR||Single Reaction|
|Gel electrophoresis system||Standard electrophoresis system|
We followed the protocol on the website. The top gel is the Arthopod gel and the bottom is the Wolbachia gel.
|Explanation of confidence level||
In the image, the majority of the DNA BPs were smeared meaning that it was difficult to not only determine the BP of the different sections but it was also difficult to see clear bands.
|Wolbachia 16S sequence||
|Arthropod COI sequence||
|Summary||The Armadillidium vulgare was found to be negative for Wolbachia.|
