Observations | It was found in a courtyard within a suburban high school on the stem of a dying garden plant. It was approximately 70 degrees fahrenheit out in the afternoon and was the beginning of fall. The spittlebug did not attempt to fly away when captured. It was a tan/brown color with a green tint and had spikes running down the back two legs. |

Explanation of confidence level | The bar for all of our arthropod DNA gel electrophoresis was faint, even the controls indicating that something likely went wrong with the PCR. Therefore, even though our Wolbachia electrophoresis showed up properly we still only have mid confidence given the issues with our arthropod DNA. |
