Results

Wolbachia presence No
Confidence level High
Explanation of confidence level

16s rRNA gene of Wolbachia did not show up in Gel Electrophoresis after PCR; as a band of DNA. This shows us that the insect Isoptera that I collected did not contain Wolbachia DNA; thus, the sample is Wolbachia negative.

Wolbachia 16S sequence
Arthropod COI sequence
Summary The Isoptera was found to be negative for Wolbachia.
