Results |
|
Wolbachia presence | No |
Confidence level | Medium |
Explanation of confidence level | I am fairly confident in these results because despite not being positive for Wolbachia, there are a variety of other experimental errors that likely have happened, resulting in there being a medium confidence in these results. There is a possibility that Wolbachia was in the arthropod, but there may have been experimental complications such as primer annealing and other molecular reactions that altered the final results. While three of the four controls did not work, the lack of a DNA band in the water (PCR -) control demonstrates that at least one component of the experiment has been successfully accounted for, corroborating the experimental data. |
