Explanation of confidence level

Something must have gone wrong during the gel electrophoresis process. Our Wolbachia gel has DNA but it’s smeared all over the top of the gel. We did not place our gel in the wrong orientation, running the gel from negative to positive, yet we still had this occur. As to right now, we have no clue on why this occured.
