Results

Wolbachia presence No
Confidence level Medium
Explanation of confidence level

I am half confident because our lady bug did not show a band for our Wolbachia gel; however, our + Wolbachia control did not have a band while our – Wolbachia control did.  This leads me to believe there is a source of error in either our DNA extraction or PCR protocol.

Wolbachia 16S sequence
Arthropod COI sequence
Summary The Coccinellidae was found to be negative for Wolbachia.
