Observations

This roly-poly was found under backyard flower pot with several roly-polys found in same area. The environment was dark and damp with the temperature at 50-40 degree fahrenheit in afternoon.

The insect had segmentation, no wings, dark brown/tan color, a stripe down the middle back, a spotted stripe along sides of back, and aproximately 9 legs were counted.

Throughout the experiment, the gel wells weren’t done correctly, for wells weren’t deep enough. Pipetting may also have had errors, for some may have punctured the wells. DNA may have been accidently mixed slightly when held as well. The pellet of my insect appeared as a visible dark brown.
